You Should See Me In A Crown

Locked in mortal combat — dance trapeze and aerial hoop. Who’ll prevail? Who’ll wear the crown? Who will be the ultimate winner? Find out at the Pure-Studios Showcase!

Performing to Billie Eilish’s You Should See Me in a Crown, this routine features low aerial hoop and spinning trapeze. Think West Side Story: are you team trapeze or team hoop? The two teams will battle for the ultimate prize: the aerial crown.

There will be some dancing off the equipment, a little partner work, and some simple acrobalance.

Costumes: depending on your team, we’ll have a colour theme — red and gold — but the costume itself can be your choice, as long as it’s safe for hoop and trapeze.

And, of course, the crown!

You are responsible for buying your own costumes. Your instructor will come up with the final decision and will help you be appropriately dressed with the cheapest options in mind.

This performance will take place on the 8th September 2023 at The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford.

You must attend as many rehearsals as possible and make an effort to catch up and rehearse choreography if any rehearsals are missed.
