Yoga for Wellness Day Retreat -Saturday 25th January 2020


The theme for this our 15th retreat day is energy and beating the winter blues! Winter is often a time when we feel low on energy; when we eat more comfort food and when we can sometimes feel a little low in spirit. We'll share ideas about the 4 types of energy we all have; you'll have the opportunity to take a simple assessment to see where you might be allowing your energy to drain, and we'll explore how yoga and diet can help re-invigorate you so you sail through the winter months, boost your immune system and increase your energy levels and your sense of well-being. 

And we have a fabulous vegan chef giving us a talk in the afternoon about how she went from stressed, over-tired primary teacher to healthy, gut healing foodie in  5 years. Foods and the effects they have on our bodies has become a passion for her and she is a big believer food is a natural medicine. This will be an interesting and interactive session and one I'm sure you will enjoy. 

This is a full day yoga retreat and is a mix of practising the physical postures in yoga, as well as breathing, meditation and deep relaxation techniques, and an opportunity to go a little deeper than you would in a normal yoga class and learn about other therapies which might compliment your yoga practice. .

Whether you're a complete beginner, have some experience, or you've been practising for years; you'll be supported to challenge yourself, whilst ensuring you listen to your body and don't strain or push too far. Run by two experienced yoga teachers - we want you to feel energised, provoke reflection and have fun! We want you to feel gently challenged, stimulated but not left out or behind! Carmen and I both passionately believe yoga is for EVERY body - this is NOT about gymnastics or allowing our egos to push too far which is far removed from the true spirit of yoga philosophy.

Cost £50 for the full day, including refreshments and lunch. Places are only secured upon payment. No drop ins as these days are proving popular.
