Fly Girls Open Space Session Guidelines
To participate in the Open Pole sessions, you must be an active student enrolled in a minimum of 1 full month at Fly Girls (or taken four classes) before you are able to use Open Space. This is not to replace classes but to add on to your training. Email Crystal for access to the building as soon as you make the booking: flygirlsfitness@gmail.com

Sunday Access: Students wishing to attend Open Pole on Sundays must request the door code by Saturday at 1:30 PM. Please note that Crystal is unavailable from 1:45 PM Saturday until 10:00 AM Monday. If you need immediate access, you may reach out to other students in the WhatsApp group for assistance in obtaining the current code.
Open Space Overview: Open Space offers a dedicated time for students to practice and refine their pole skills independently. You may train solo or with friends, but please be aware that there will be no instructor present during these sessions.
By signing up for Open Space you acknowledge and accept responsibility for training at your own risk and must follow all the information below. Please do not skip over reading the material below.
Studio Use Guidelines:
You will have access to the speaker, floor heaters, or fans.
Mats are mandatory when performing inversions.
NO street shoes in the studio.
Clean up your mess, do not leave a mess.
Do not go through any cabinet and drawers, they are not yours.
If wearing heels, please clean any marks left on the floor after use. Do not bang your heels so much you ruin our floors, you will have to pay for the damage.
Light switches are located above the teacher's desk. Please ask for assistance if you are unfamiliar with their operation.
Upon leaving, ensure that the studio is securely locked and all electrical appliances are turned off.
THE KEY: IF YOU TAKE OUT THE KEY, YOU PUT IT BACK, EVEN IF THERE ARE PEOPLE THERE, THEY NEED TO GET THE KEY OUT TO LOCK UP. The key box should be securely closed after use and code mixed up. flygirlsfitness@gmail.com
ANY DAMAGE DONE TO THE STUDIO UNDER YOUR CARE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE.

Fire Safety Risk Assessment Plan & Health and Safety.
For Instructors & Students at Fly Girls Fitness
Location: 75m² Building
1. Fire Hazards & Prevention
Potential Fire Risks:
• Heaters & Clothing: Risk of fire if clothing or other flammable items are placed near heaters.
• Electrical Overload: Do not plug multiple heaters into the same power supply.
• Unauthorised Use of Electrical Equipment: Only teachers should handle electrical devices (excluding phone charging via designated USB ports).
• Smoking: Strictly no smoking inside the building.
Prevention Measures:
Keep all flammable materials away from heaters.
Ensure heaters are plugged into separate power outlets.
Only teachers should operate electrical equipment (except for designated USB ports).
No smoking anywhere inside the premises.
2. Fire Extinguisher Locations & Use
The studio has two fire extinguishers, located next to the front door on the right-hand side:
9kg Water Extinguisher (for Class A fires - paper, fabric, wood, etc.)
2kg CO₂ Extinguisher (for electrical fires)
How to Use a Fire Extinguisher (PASS Method):
1. Pull the pin on the left.
2. Aim at the base of the fire (stand 1-2 meters away).
3. Squeeze the handle.
4. Sweep from side to side until the fire is out.
Important: Only use a fire extinguisher if the fire is small and manageable. Otherwise, evacuate immediately and call 999.
3. Fire Emergency Procedure (Evacuation Plan)
In case of a fire, the responsible person (teacher or designated staff) must:
1. Instruct everyone to evacuate the building immediately through the front door (push door).
2. Lead everyone to the fire assembly point (to the left of the building, where the fire sign is hanging).
3. If safe to do so, the last person may attempt to extinguish the fire using the appropriate fire extinguisher.
4. Call 999 and provide the studio address.
5. Wait at the fire assembly point for emergency services.
If the fire alarm sounds (even though a system is not required), follow the evacuation steps above.
4. Emergency Lighting & Power Failure Procedure
• If power is lost, emergency lighting can be accessed using the phone in the right-hand side corner of the studio.
• To activate emergency lighting:
1. Press the button in the right-hand side corner.
2. Use the phone’s flashlight (bottom left-hand side of the screen).
5. Responsibilities & Safety Rules
Teachers & Responsible Persons:
Ensure all electrical equipment is used safely.
Enforce no smoking and no flammable materials near heaters.
Keep fire exits clear at all times.
Lead fire drills and ensure all students know the evacuation procedure.
Students & Visitors:
Follow all safety rules regarding heaters and electrical outlets.
Do not touch electrical equipment unless permitted.
Charge phones only using the designated USB ports.
Immediately report any fire hazards to the teacher.
6. Fire Drills & Training
• Teachers must conduct fire safety briefings with students.
• Fire drills should be practiced periodically to ensure everyone understands the procedure.
• Teachers should familiarize themselves with extinguisher use and evacuation routes.
7. Final Reminders
Always exit through the front door in an emergency.
Never block heaters or power outlets with clothing or objects.
If a fire occurs, evacuate first, then call 999.
Stay calm and follow the responsible person’s instructions.
Health & Safety Emergency Plan

1. Emergency First Aid Procedures
In case of injury or medical emergency:
Assess the situation – Stay calm and check if the person is conscious and responsive.
Provide basic first aid using the first aid kit (located in WhiteBook Shelf
If the injury is serious or requires medical attention, call 999 immediately.
Do not move an injured person unless necessary (e.g., immediate danger).
Stay with the injured person until help arrives.
Important: If unsure about what to do, always prioritize calling 999 for professional medical guidance.
2. First Aid Kit & Medical Supplies
Location: The first aid kit is available in Green Box in the white book shelf on display.
Instructions: A booklet inside the kit provides guidance on how to use each item.
Available Medical Supplies & Their Use
Plasters (Top Drawer in the White Bookshelf): For minor cuts and blisters.
Ice Packs (Top Drawer in the White Bookshelf): For sprains, swelling, and bruises.
Antiseptic Wipes: To clean wounds before applying bandages.
Bandages & Dressings: For larger cuts, bleeding, or covering wounds.
Tweezers: For removing splinters or small objects from the skin.
Gloves: For hygienic wound care and to prevent contamination.
Burn Gel: For minor burns or scalds.
You are free to use any first aid items without needing permission – safety comes first.
If in doubt, call 999!
3. Injury Prevention & Safety Rules
Hydration & Breaks: Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed.
Proper Warm-Ups: Always warm up properly to prevent strains or injuries.
Footwear & Attire: Wear appropriate clothing and grip-friendly footwear if required.
Floor & Space Awareness: Keep the floor clear of personal belongings to avoid tripping hazards.
No Unsafe Behaviour: Avoid risky movements that could lead to falls or injuries.
4. Medical Emergencies (When to Call 999)
Dial 999 immediately if someone experiences:
Severe bleeding that doesn’t stop with pressure.
Unconsciousness or unresponsiveness.
Signs of a stroke (e.g., slurred speech, facial drooping, arm weakness).
Severe burns, allergic reactions, or difficulty breathing.
**Head injuries with confusion, vomiting
