A 4 week course of 4 sessions (approx 1hr each) within a group of 3, all levels welcome * pre-requisites below

The objective is to become safe, confident and competent at the lifts - either or both Snatch / Clean & Jerk.
The goal is to become a lifelong learner with enjoyment of all that Olympic lifting has to offer!

Minimum baseline prerequisite of deadlifting bodyweight on the bar for 5RM, and respectable hip and shoulder mobility, 15-20kg overhead barbell strict press for 5 reps feeling relatively easy.
Includes 'homework' to do during the course to maximise progression, and also a personalised program to continue progressing with following the course completion.

A 1-off personal training session following Strength & Conditioning principles, to develop or learn new strength-skills. Includes consultation and movement assessment. This forms the compulsory induction session used to determine the best course of subsequent training, be it personal training or to get you ready to maximise and enjoy the gym based group training type which currently best suits your needs and goals. Includes Q/A and advice.

To maximise what is done, session by session. Bespoke evolving progressive programs designed with you, utilising any gym equipment, for your needs and goals to ensure results, delivered via weekly practical training. NDM programs aim to address the issue of not being always being able to easily climb , swim or surf !
There are several areas of fitness and movement qualities shared by these three sports:

Vertical pull - arms relative to torso; Multi directional strength through a Full shoulder and hip range of motion; Endurance of strength with repeated forceful movements; power - moving forcefully and quickly, all with great control. Trunk or 'core' work is also integral to apply and to resist rotation to the body and to control the limbs independently from a stable 'base' - and in the case of swimming and surfing - in an open-chain environment.

The specific demands of sports ofcourse cannot be replaced or replicated, but this is not the point. NDMs Strength training programs compliment, support and better prepares you for your sport. Increase your performance potential and decrease risk of injury. The sessions include strength-endurance of key muscle groups as maintenance, and whole-body cross training.
