6-Week Intro to Burlesque

Step into the glittering world of burlesque with House of Royale at Sunset Studios!
 

•Learn about the history of burlesque, including past pioneers, recent icons, and those pushing the industry forward today.

•Bump n grind your way through 'burlesque staples' including glove peels, striptease (no nudity!), chair dance, and tantalising your audience.

•Find your own style of burlesque - find what works for you and your body.
 

Our classes are open to everyone over the age of 18.
House of Royale/Sunset Studios is a queer, ex-SW run business.
We are welcoming of people of any gender, sexuality, size, ethnicity, and ability.
If you have any access needs, please get in touch with us in advance and we will do all we can to support you.

No previous experience necessary.
Never danced before? No problem.
Two left feet? We'll show you how to move them!

WHAT TO WEAR

We recommend wearing whatever makes you feel badass. Whether you want to dress up Moulin Rouge style, wear your gym leggings, or something in between, it's all welcome here.
Small dance heels are welcome/recommended but absolutely not compulsory.
Don't forget to bring a bottle of water!

STUDIO CANCELLATION POLICY
This 6-week course is non-refundable and non-transferable.
House of Royale/Sunset Studios will not tolerate any form of racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, whorephobia, ageism or ableism. We will also not tolerate any rudeness or hostility towards our staff, volunteers, or other class members. Anyone who breaches these conditions will be asked to leave without refund.
