The Maya Method: Aerial Hoop

WHAT IS IT?

A 12-week program for newbies, designed to take you from complete novice who has never touched an aerial hoop before to aerial arts lover! Our Aerial Hoop programme is carefully designed to ensure you progress safely and effectively week on week, while working with your individual strengths and weaknesses. Although you will be starting as a group, the program consists of progressions and variations, because we're not all exactly the same, so why would our bodies move exactly the same way? Programs are set out to up your confidence in the air by training on an aerial hoop, while building strength, awareness and coordination, supporting body neutrality in an uplifting and welcoming social environment. 

WHO'S IT FOR?

Programs are specifically designed for those with no prior experience of aerial arts. No gym, yoga, or dance background is required. Just start as you are! The Maya Method is also a great way to find your feet again if you have been on a long break and would like to dive back into the wonderful world of upside down! 

WHY DO IT?

Aerial hoop is unlike any other fitness program—uplifting (literally and figuratively), positive, encouraging, and welcoming. It’s individual, creative, and empowering, building strength, confidence, and resilience while remaining fun, light-hearted, and nourishing. It’s challenging, tough, and gritty, yet inclusive and non-competitive—truly good for the body, mind, and soul. Body-weight exercise like aerial hoop can help you feel stronger, happier, and more positive, sleep better, be kinder to yourself, meet amazing new people, make time just for you, and even carry the shopping without getting so out of breath!

On top of this, you will get weekly emails from us including videos of combinations you have learnt in class that week as well as the names of the moves. It's also a great chance for us to touch base and to keep you motivated!

By booking onto any 12-week pole program or aerial arts program, you agree to The Maya Method terms and conditions:

- programs are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

- if you opt out at any point during the 12 weeks while your program is underway, no monetary refunds are due.

- if you can't make one week - do not worry! You can book a catch up lesson! Just e-mail us with the time and date of an alternative beginner class you can make that week. This will need to be done 24 hours prior to the class starting, and can be done a maximum of twice throughout the course. 

- if at any point in the course, you find yourself unsure with your progress, please take in the program emails you get sent over the 12 weeks to help keep you motivated and do reach out to us at any time if you feel yourself stuck in training <3.
