Yin, Meditation and Stress Reduction Workshop with Holly Harman

Yin, Meditation and Stress reduction workshop

Saturday 28th of September 3pm - 5:30pm

Join Holly Harman at Lost in Yoga for a calming, restorative and informative workshop focusing on yin yoga, yoga nidra meditation and stress reducing tips.

Yin yoga emphasises the yin movement in practice. Yin is about finding stillness and cooling the body. Yang relates to movement, often repetitive movement, creating heat in the body. And, the theory goes, we need both to come into balance to stay in optimum condition. Longer, static holds enable us to access yin tissue – fascia and connective tissue.
On a mental and emotional level, the practice allows the body to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system, and therefore becomes deeply healing and nourishing. Practitioners report that it is grounding, calming and revitalising, with profound energetic and emotional effects.

Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. Yoga nidra is an accessible laying down meditation practice that focuses on cultivating multiple levels of well-being. Practiced with consistency and awareness, you may likely discover that you can find a good amount of peace in a short period of time.

Stress affects all of us in a myriad of ways but many of us do not know effective coping mechanisms and ways to reduce stress. During this workshop we will learn breathing techniques, purge writing, suitable herbs to use and more!

This workshop is £25 for 2.5 hours of deep relaxation and restoring, you can also use a class credit for a partial payment.
