Ryan Wagner is a former competitive swimmer who specialized in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. He won a New York State championship in high school and competed at the Division I collegiate level for both Ohio State University and Miami University (Ohio)
Wagner's college journey spanned two major programs, where he primarily focused on backstroke events.
Ohio State University: He spent three seasons on the Buckeyes' roster after redshirting his freshman year. During the 2016-17 season, he recorded his then-best times of 48.60 in the 100 back and 1:46.80 in the 200 back.
Miami University (OH): He transferred to Miami for the 2019-20 season to finish his eligibility while pursuing a Master's degree.
MAC Championships: Competed in the 100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly at the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships.
