Eldred - Kepros 2025 Spring Training Throwing Program

We are excited to announce the 6th year of the Eldred-Kepros Spring Training Throwing Program!

This is a 9-week program that meets twice per week. We have put this program together to get athletes prepared for their upcoming season. Too often, we see athletes not fully prepared for their season and then experience arm pain or injury. Our program mitigates this by building arm strength and preparing the body as a whole to be fully ready when the season starts, making this the perfect program for all players, not just pitchers. The Eldred/Kepros Spring Training Throwing Program has three different age groups. As the program goes on, individual adjustments will be made appropriately for each athlete. This guarantees that each athlete is doing what is individually best for them.

There will also be an option to add on “Mound Day” which is 5 more weeks added on to the end of the throwing program. The Mound Day groups will meet once a week for either a bullpen or live at-bats, whichever is appropriate for the athlete. Mound Day is perfect for mid-week bullpens, between weekends with games, and gives an opportunity to face live hitters. It also bridges the gap for high schoolers between the end of this program and the high school season. This is truly a Spring Training!

We do this program in collaboration with Kepros Physical Therapy and Performance and the following is what they will be providing:

Every athlete has an individualized footprint, with a subset of gifts, and an opportunity for success that often goes unrealized. While physical attributes establish a base, one’s grit, adaptability, consistency, and vision has much to do with the overall athletic experience and ultimately their performance. Overhead athletes require a combination of lower body power, upper body elasticity, and a core connection that ties the two aspects together. A weak link in any one of these aspects lends to reduced accuracy, power, and ultimately reduced outcomes.

The Spring Training Eldred/Kepros Throwing Program is designed to be simple, specific, and built on encouragement for physical optimization.  In short, the program focuses on doing the right things, over and over again. Each athlete will receive a full thrower’s biomechanical assessment, be educated regarding their physical blueprint, and receive an instructional packet addressing their specific needs for optimal performance. Specificity of exercise technique will be reviewed in collaboration with throwing instruction to ensure athletes are given the proper dosage and workload.
