Number Explorations: Discovering Numbers Through Play (Grades K-2)
Numbers become meaningful through movement, games, and everyday experiences. Children build early math skills like counting, subitizing, number recognition, patterns, and simple problem-solving using hands-on materials and shared challenges. Math feels approachable and useful as students talk about numbers, compare quantities, and explore how math shows up in daily life.
While this group is guided by grade-level expectations for Kindergarten-2nd grade, placement remains flexible and considers each Explorer’s readiness and support needs.
