Mum & Baby Pilates

The Manchester Mums Movement presents... Mum & baby Pilates! A postnatal specific Pilates course open to mums of all levels & abilities, aiming to strengthen the whole body, improve posture & build confidence post birth in a safe & compassionate environment. 

  • Babies are very welcomed, but know you are also welcome to come alone if that works better for you!

  • Baby bouncers, toys, mats and a playpen for babies will be provided, and Lynsey is always on hand for the babies where possible. 

  • Our postnatal classes aim to prioritise pelvic health, abdominal control & strength and encourage a positive mindset for all of our mums. 

  • The course will offer gentle progressions every week, but there will always be options for you to progress at your own pace, we will always meet you where you are at, and support you along the way, in and out of class. 

Entry requirements & notes

  • You must be at least 6 weeks (vaginal delivery) or 8-12 weeks (c-section) postpartum and be signed off by your GP or woman's health physio to join this course.

  • A woman's health physio appointment post birth is highly recommended, especially if experiencing symptoms like; pelvic pain, pain around c-section scar, hip pain, low back pain, leaking or heaviness in the pelvic floor. 

  • Suitable for little ones that aren't yet walking, for the safety of the other bubs. Crawlers are welcome!
