Absolute Beginners Yoga Course – March 2026
This 4-week course is a welcoming introduction to yoga, designed to help you build confidence, body awareness, and a strong foundation for a safe, sustainable practice. It’s ideal for absolute beginners, anyone returning to yoga after a break, or current practitioners who want to revisit alignment, breath, and the basics with more clarity and care.
Each weekly session gently builds on the last, introducing foundational yoga postures, conscious breathing, and simple flows in an accessible, supportive way. Yoga props are used throughout the course to offer stability, comfort, and a deeper understanding of each pose, no flexibility or prior experience is required.
The course is taught by Néna Butler-Wright (RYT500), with hands-on support from Mana Weideman (RYT500), allowing for individual attention, thoughtful guidance, and a nurturing learning environment.
What to expect over the 4 weeks:
- Conscious breathing to calm the mind and support the body.
- Clear, practical alignment for common yoga postures.
- A gradual introduction to sun salutations and gentle flow.
- Strengthening and opening the body safely (hips, spine, core).
- Simple balances, mild inversions, twists, and supported rest.
- Plenty of options and variations for different bodies.
By the end of the course, you’ll feel more at home in your body, confident in the fundamentals, and equipped with the tools to continue practicing at home or join a multi-level yoga class with ease.
